The U.S. Fire Administration is rolling out a new fire information platform, the National Emergency Response Information System (NERIS).

NERIS aims to become the foremost hub for comprehensive hazard information and cutting-edge analytics, guiding national efforts to address fire challenges while enhancing the readiness of state, local, territorial, and tribal fire services. Leveraging data acquisition, aggregation, and analysis, the NERIS platform will offer near real-time updates on the breadth of fire and emergency incidents nationwide. Additionally, it will deliver timely insights into noteworthy fire, hostile, and disaster occurrences, empowering informed responses for effective, efficient, and safe mitigation efforts.

The final date for NFIRS is Jan. 31, 2026. Learn more about the final chapter of NFIRS here.

This page will be updated as more information becomes available.
