Hello, and welcome to our new blog! Thank you to the Insurance Department’s Jacob Just for helping build this. We are excited to try this new medium to get important fire safety messages out to you. Please bear with us while we transition from our newsletter to the blog format.
We will be launching our website for the State Fire Marshal soon! We have worked hard to make the website easy to navigate and reflective of the North Dakota fire service. We hope you will enjoy the different pages and are able to find information efficiently. This is where you will most likely find much of the information for fire chiefs and firefighters. Watch for more details later this month!
I would like to announce our newest fire safety checklist that we have developed to help you in the field. We are working with the Department of Food and Lodging to assist with hotel and motel fire safety inspections more often. Please note that if you are contacted to conduct a fire safety inspection at a hotel/motel, these forms are available for your use. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns about the new form and processes. We are always here to help!
I hope that you got our annual fire report the other week, but if not, please check it out here! Fires decreased back below 3,000 last year (2022) after one of our busiest fire years ever in 2021. Please pass on the fire report to whomever you think should have this information.
